Ronald F. Stephenson 76, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2011. He was born August 26, 1934 to Hazel and Pete Stephenson whom preceded him in death. Ron graduated from Washington High School in 1953. He retired from Rexnord Bearing Division in 1999. He previously had worked for the Wm. H. Block Co. His favorite past-time was watching sports on TV. He also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and spending time with his precious dog Ginny. Ron was married to his beloved wife of 57 years, Freda (Poland) Stephenson. She is left to cherish his memory along with their children, daughters; Kathy Rogers, Kim (Mark) Williamson and sons; Ronald and Michael Stephenson, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and brother Duane (Bev) Stephenson. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ricky Stephenson, grandson Eric and great-grandson Jordan Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 4 to 7 pm with services at 7 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Speedway. The family would like to thank everyone involved with his care at Clarian West and St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital. Memorial contributions may be made to Indianapolis Humane Society, 7929 N.
