Ronald Lee Stoots

Mr. Ronald Lee Stoots, 78, of Galax, VA passed away on March 25, 2026 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born on December 23, 1947 to the late Roby Stoots and Ola Mary Akers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Sue Stoots, his twin brother, Donald Stoots, and a sister, Connie Anders.

He is survived by his children, Marsha Stamper of Fancy Gap, VA, Twania Bobbitt and husband, Claude of Austinville, VA, Bobby Brooks and wife, Sharon of Galax, VA, Mary Shaw and husband, Justin of Independence, VA, Stacy Shaw and husband, Keith of Galax, VA, Dakota Johnson and wife, Hannah of Galax, VA, brothers, Daniel Stoots of Alabama and Roby Stoots Jr. of Galax, VA, a sister, Brenda Higgins of Wytheville, VA, grandchildren, Joshua Brooks and wife, Ashley, Jessica Parnell, Samantha Davis and husband, Joshua, Glenna Russell, Cynthia Cornett, Stephanie Conklin, Franklin Brooks and wife, Ruby, Zachary Brooks, Sarah Brooks, Lacy Brooks, Patrick Shaw and wife, Kylie, Dylan Johnson and wife, Breanna, and Lois Dickerson and husband, Blake. Several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at High Country Services beginning at 2:00pm with Titus Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Burial will follow in the Fries Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
