Ronald Allen Tegge left this world on September 28, 2025, for his Heavenly home to reunite with his parents whom he loved and missed dearly. There was a great reunion in Heaven when Ron arrived.
Ron entered this world on February 25, 1948, in Cedartown, GA to the late Joseph John Tegge and Ruby Lee Clark Tegge. This is where his family was stationed at the time. The family settled in Anderson, Indiana where Ron led a very traditional life. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1966 and joined the Marine Corps and served for 2 years. He was a very proud Marine. Ron attended Ball State University. He later went to work for General Motors for 20 years.
After his retirement, he decided to challenge himself to a variety of jobs but loved his time with Home Depot the most. In the mid 90's Ron began to experience declining health involving prostate cancer and Parkinson's disease but never complained regarding the many surgeries and unending pain he felt along the way. He is at peace now and resting in his Savior's loving arms.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronald C. Tegge who passed in 2015.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Tyas Tegge of Swannanoa; his daughter, Maria L. James (Freddie) of St. George, SC; his son, Joseph Allen Tegge and his children, Xander Tegge (grandson) and Zailey Tegge (granddaughter) all from Asheville; "Little Ron's" only son, Taylor Tegge-Wiley (grandson) of Franklin, KY; brother, Larry Tegge and wife, Melba (both deceased) and their daughters, Julie, Jill, and Jennifer; brother, Jack Tegge "Joe Peace" and wife, Karen (deceased) of Weirsdale, FL; special cousin, Veronica Laughlin of Anderson, IN.
Those who will miss "Daddy" the most are his faithful companions Tugger, Cody, LuLu and BoBo.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 3:30 to 4:30pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa. A celebration of life service will immediately follow at the church at 4:30pm with Dr. Jeff Dowdy officiating.
