Ronald Eugene Thompson 76 of Ashland, Kentucky formerly of Louisa passed away September 2, 2025 at the Kings Daughters Medical Center following a brief illness.

Ronald was born September 27, 1948 at Louisa, Kentucky the son of the late Kay Jr. and Valcie Thompson. He was also preceded in death by a sister Brenda Thompson and a brother in law Ranvil Boggs.

Ronald was a devoted family man who never met a stranger. He had a gift for conversation and could make anyone feel welcome with his kindness and humor. A lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and the University of Kentucky Wildcats, he never missed a chance to cheer on his teams. He also had a passion for boxing and enjoyed sharing that love with those around him.

He is survived by two daughters Tina (Jamie Puckett) Thompson, Michelle (Chris) Mokas; grandchildren Brayden (Josie) Kouns, Kaleb Mokas, Luke Mokas, Kyle Mokas, Morgan Kouns, Dominik Thompson, Sierra Thompson, Alexis Thompson, Nicholas Puckett, Joel Puckett, and Mary Kate Puckett; siblings Judy Boggs, Peggy Blackburn, Clayton (Kay) Thompson, Shannon (Eileen) Thompson, and Sandra (Steve) Sargent.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 4th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday September 4th from 1:00 pm to time of services at Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Ronald and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.

Ronnie was such an awesome neighbor. Because of his health i didn't see him much but when we did get to talk he had my attention from the first sentence! His stories were so funny! My thoughts and prayers are with his family. RIP Ronnie
