Henry Frederick Evans, 88, of Fort Gay West Virginia, passed away on Thursday August 28, 2025 following a long illness.

Henry was born on Sunday January 31, 1937 in Camp Creek, West Virginia, the son of the late Frank and the late Stella Romans Evans. In addition to his parents Henry is preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Lynn Huff, a brother Willis Ray Evans, and two sisters Romaine Hinkle and Virginia Barker.

He was a disabled railroader and a former Wayne County BOE employee.

Henry loved the Lord and knew his bible.

Henry also loved his little dog and best friend Speedy.

Survivors include his children, Beatrice Ann (Darvan) Little and Jason (Dee) Evans; grandchildren, Billy Joe (Deandra) Huff, Brad (Keisha) Huff, Chloe Evans, Jenna Gray and Aurora Evans; great-grandchildren, Skylar Huff, Brooklynn Huff, Laney Huff, Brady Huff; two brothers, Truman (Judy) Evans and Homer Evans; two sisters, Maggie Meade and Wanda (David) Spence.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Three Rivers Medical Center, Cornerstone of Huntington, Saint Mary's Home Health and a special nurce Kayla Napier for their exceptional care.

Funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home officiated by Rev. James Vanhoose with burial immediately following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

All care for both Mr Evans and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
