RONALD TRACY Obituary
Ronald D. Tracy (AKA Ronnie Bull/Tiny), born on August 20, 1959, in the heart of Indianapolis, Indiana. He left us unexpectedly on February 14, 2025. At sixty-five years old, he embodied a life that was rich in love and service, deeply connected to both family and community.
Ron gave his all as a student and athlete at George Washington High School, not only excelling in football and basketball but also, touching the lives of those around him with his enthusiasm and sportsmanship. This dedication continued as he volunteered as a coach, imparting not just skills, but life lessons to countless youths at Riverside Park and the Municipal Gardens.
Ron's sense of duty led him to serve in the United States Army from 1979 to 1982, an experience that highlighted his commitment to country and camaraderie. Post service, he found a community needing his compassion at the Wheeler Mission in Indianapolis, where he embraced roles as a speaker and driver, always with an open heart.
Ron was someone you could count on to lighten any room with his laughter and good humor. At family cookouts, you'd find him with grill tongs in hand, sharing stories and jokes, and making sure everyone felt at home in his company. His love for life and others was evident in every facet of his being.
Those left to honor his memory are his children, India Lewis, Travis Tracy, Charu Tracy and bonus son, Marcello Berryhill; thirteen grandchildren; mother, Lenora Johnson; siblings, Barry Tipton (Vicky), Deirdre Johnson, Leondra Wynn-Howell (Ray), and James T. Wynn II (Robbie); as well as a host of nieces and nephews. He now joins his father, Robert Tracy, and his brother, Myron Wynn, in eternal peace.
Gone too soon, Ron's departure leaves us grappling with a profound loss. His laughter, wisdom, and kind heart are etched into the memories of those who had the privilege of knowing him. As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the joy he brought and the lessons he taught. Though he's no longer physically with us, his spirit lives on, guiding us with the love he so generously gave. Ron, we will keep you close in our hearts, until we meet once more.
