Ronald L. Trempe, 81, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 28, 2023. Born on February 21, 1942 to the late Wallace Trempe and Lucille (Braun) Trempe, later Kielsmeier, here in Sheboygan. Ronald graduated from Central High School in 1960.
On May 14, 1966 he was united in marriage to Jane Oehldrich. He co-owned and operated Trempe Insurance. For 40 years he was a volunteer fireman for the Town of Sheboygan. Ronald was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where he was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Playing softball, bowling, golfing and playing cards were pastimes of Ronald’s but fishing was his favorite.
Ronald is survived by his wife, sons, Dave (Julie) Trempe, Tim (Sara) Trempe and Dan (Angie) Trempe; three grandchildren, Leah Trempe, Eric Trempe and Kate Trempe; brother Les Trempe; sister Sharon (Jim) Kresl; brother-in-law Jim (Nancy) Oehldrich; sisters-in-law Jean Oehldrich and Judy Liggett; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; step-dad Don Kielsmeier; in-laws Milford and Dorothy Oehldrich; sister-in-law Cindy Trempe and brother-in-law Dale Liggett.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 11:00AM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan., with Pastor Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Kohler, will be private. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 9:00AM until the time of service. If you are unable to join the family for Ronald’s service it will be livestreamed on his obituary page on the funeral home website.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated in Ronald’s honor to St. John’s UCC Church or Town of Sheboygan Volunteer Fire Department.
