Born at Jefferson Davis Hospital in Houston, Texas, where he most likely came into the world with a grin already on his face. Ronald Wade Jr. made his grand entrance on October 3, 1987. From day one, it was clear he was not just any ordinary guy, Ronald was the kind of person who could make your whole day better with a smile, and a song playlist. He did not need much, just some headphones, a little sunshine, and people he loved.
A proud graduate of Harper High School's Class of 2005, Ronald went on to live a life marked by kindness, humor, and a whole lot of family love. A faithful member of The King's Table Christian Discipleship Church, Ron understood that walking with God did not mean you could not also walk around the neighborhood blasting good music.
Known for his endless strolls, bumping his favorite tunes, and practicing his B-Ball skills in the backyard. Ron was the kind of guy who'd check on you even if you did not check on yourself. He had a heart of gold, the humor of a sitcom character. You could always count on Ron to show up with helping hands, good vibes, and maybe even a bag of snacks.
Ronald was deeply devoted to his family, whether it was joking with his siblings, cheering up his nieces and nephews, or just spending time with his mom and stepdad. Family wasn't just important to him-it was him.
Ronald now joins the heavenly crew: his father Ronald Jerome Crawford, brother Ronald Mitchell, sister Crystal Denise Wade, grandmother Georgia Wade, and grandfather Willie "Buster" Wade, along with a host of aunts who probably greeted him with the best soul food spread Heaven has ever seen.
Left to keep the party going on Earth (and play his playlist in his honor) are his mother Wilma Wade Jackson and stepfather Rodney Jackson, his siblings Jermica Wade, Chrishena Wade Rollins, Westley Wade, Greg Ford, Thaddeus Wade, Rodney Wade, and Regina Wade. He also leaves behind a gang of nieces and nephews who will surely inherit his humor and his dance moves, Zakia Wade, Tamia Marable, Ariana Bolden, Mason Ford, Christopher Rollins, Jayce Dickerson, and Lennox Lee.
Ronald "Road Dog" Wade Jr. may have taken his final walk here, but we know he's still strolling-headphones on, smile wide, and heart full-somewhere far better, leaving footprints of joy on Heaven's streets To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Ronald, please visit our Tree Store.
