Angola, Indiana - Ronald Lynn Waite, 72, of Angola, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Ron was born on May 26, 1953, in Angola, Indiana. He was the son of Robert C. and Betty J. (Sams) Waite. He graduated from Angola High School in 1971.

Ron married the love of his life, Patti J. Kain, on December 4, 1971.

He farmed his own farm and was an Auctioneer and Realtor for Putnam & Waite Auctioneering and then at Oberlin Real Estate and Auctioneers.

Ron had been a former member of the Orland Lions Club and a member of the Nightcrawlers.

He had been a member of the Steuben County 4-H Board and was always seen at the Steuben 4-H Fair where he would help when needed with the animals and the auctioning of the animals at the end of fair.

Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Patti J. Waite of Angola, Indiana; his daughter, Raelynn (Tim) Moore of LaGrange, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" S. Waite of Angola, Indiana; his 5 beloved grandchildren, Lane (Maya) Waite of Angola, Indiana, Lucas Waite of Angola, Indiana, Austin Moore of LaGrange, Indiana, Ethan Moore of LaGrange, Indiana and Owen Moore of LaGrange, Indiana and his 4 precious great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ryan Waite on July 8, 2025; and siblings, Thomas L. Waite, Sue Wyatt and Janie Willms.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Life Changing Church, 2201 N. Wayne Street, Angola, Indiana with Pastor Jason Booher officiating.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon-3 PM, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the church prior to the service.
