Ronald C. Wimer CHURCHVILLE

Ronald Clifton Wimer, 57, of Moffett Branch Road, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at his home.

He was born on June 12, 1953, in Staunton, the son of Luther Clifton Wimer and Virginia Dare (McCoy) Wimer.

He retired from Wilson Trucking Company after 21 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, football and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his mother. Surviving in addition to his father of Churchville are his wife, Jackie (Armstrong) Wimer; two children, Stephanie Wimer of Harrisonburg and Kendra Wimer and her boyfriend, Aaron Wilson, both of Staunton; three stepchildren, Michele Robertson of Verona, Adam Robertson and his wife, Molly, of Waynesboro, and Christina Brown of Staunton; a special sister, Sherri Wimer of Churchville; and four step grandchildren, Michael Martin, Jacob Leach, Alex Brown, and Scotti Robertson.

A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Green Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Merle Dodson officiating. Active pallbearers will be Kern Armstrong Jr., Willie Armstrong, John Armstrong, Ricky Eberhard, Matt Thomas, and Matt Reeves.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Bear Funeral Home.
