Publish in a newspaper

Ronald C. "Ron" Woolever, 75, of Bloomer, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Chippewa Valley in Bloomer.

He was born on the family farm on March 28, 1950, in the Town of Woodmohr. He was the 5th child of Clarence and Dorothy (Geissler) Woolever. Ron attended St. Paul's Catholic School and graduated with the class of 1968 from Bloomer High School. On August 5, 1972, he married Victoria A. Thompson at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.

In 1974, Ron and Vicky moved to the Town of Woodmohr where they built their home and currently reside. The couple together raised their daughter, Wendy Ann and son, Jeremy Ronald.

Ron was a hard worker who spent many hot summers in the factory where he worked as a machine operator. In his spare time Ron loved to work with his hands either making or fixing things. He was the true "Mr. Fix-it". Ron loved taking care of his yard, mowing lawn, and dreamt of owning a 1929 Model A with the rumble seat. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids who called him "Papa"; Ron loved them with all his heart.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Vicky of 52 years (4 days short of 53 years); daughter, Wendy (Eric) Nelson of Eau Claire, and their children, Karah and Laura; son, Jeremy (Emily) Woolever of Eden Prairie, MN, and their children, Evan and Avery; siblings, Joseph Woolever of Town of Eagle Point, Robert Woolever, of Bloomer, Herman (Mary) Woolever of Town of Woodmohr, Patricia (Charles) Moschkau of New Auburn, Kenneth (Darlene) Woolever of Town of Bloomer, Steve (Yvonne) Woolever of Chippewa Falls, and Eugene (JoAnne) Woolever of Chetek; sister-in-law, Sue Hanson of Bloomer; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his father & mother-in-law, Malcolm and Lucille (Hebert) Thompson; two brothers, Francis "Fuzzy" Woolever and Michael Woolever; sisters-in-law, Beaty Woolever and Diane Woolever; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth (Avis) Thompson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father Victor Feltes celebrating the mass. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Bloomer, where a Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. to conclude the visitation. There will be no visitation on Wednesday prior to mass. Interment will follow the mass at St. Paul's North Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank family & friends that supported Ron and the family during his extended illness. Also, Diane Steinmetz for bringing Ron holy communion during his extended stay at the hospital and home visits.

Vicky, Wendy, Jeremy and families.... So sorry to hear about Ron. I have many good memories from our childhood at your house. I think the one I remember most was the great toilet debacle, calling Vicky and Ron home from a night out... May your happy memories carry you through this difficult time...
