Ronald "RJ" Wright, 66,of Rome, PA, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, December 13, 2025 following an extended illness.

He was born on July 6, 1959, in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Ronnie and Clara Wright.

RJ loved fishing and hunting. Furniture restoration was his passion.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Brian Wright, and 2 nephews Jagger Roberts-Wright and Briar Wright.

Ronald is survived by his sons Joshua Salsman and Tyler Wright, daughter Britany Wright, grandchildren Bentley, Marlee, Skyler, Aria, Kaysen, and Carrigan. He is also survived by his sisters Clarissa Park, Theresa Wright, Debbie Wright, Annissa Wright, Star McCracken, brother Quirt McCracken, special niece Brilynn Wright, ex-wife and special friend Selleca Wright, many other nieces and nephews, his dogs Thor and Balder, and his many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. The family is being cared for by the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation in Ronald's memory to Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA 18810 to help offset the funeral expenses.
