Ronald L. Zarth, 86 of Bowler, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Birch Hill Health Services in Shawano.
Ronald was born on March 30, 1939, in Chicago, IL, the son of Louis and Florence (Erickson) Zarth. He served in the United States Army from 1959 until 1961.
On May 5, 1962, Ronald was united in marriage to Joann Kroepfl at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.
Ronald worked as a hob grinder at Illinois Tool Works for over 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and building birdhouses and knick-knacks. Ronald especially loved spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Joann; three children, Jeanette (Keith) Ashmore, Nancy (Tom) Kraus and Sally Wiezbicki; three grandchildren, Steven Kraus, Kevin (Alexis) Kraus and Nicolette (Steven) King and five great grandchildren, Colin, Kaydon, Kyle Kelsey and Katelynn Kraus.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; son, Frank Zarth; son-in-law, John Wiezbicki; grandson, Daryl Kraus and two sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Holy Family-St. William Catholic Church, Wittenberg. Fr. Mark Rydell will preside. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery, with military honors being conducted by Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post #502. Visitation will be on Friday, from 9 AM until the time of Mass at the church.
