Ronaldo D. Edwards, Sr. "Nardo" age 63, late of South Chicago, IL. Beloved Son of the late Edwin Edwards, Jr. and the late Virginia (nee Delgado) Edwards. Proud and loving father of the late Ronaldo D. Edwards, Jr. Loving and devoted Grandfather to Isidro, Noah and Alayah. Loving brother to the late David and George Edwards, and the late Louis A. Delgado, Sharon (the late John) Mirabal, Yvonne (Luis) Badillo, Veronica (Victor) Perez, Monica (the late Ralph) Granado, Mario (Catherine) Edwards, George, Sr. (Martha) Edwards, Rene (Melissa) Edwards, Edwin, III (Yolanda) Edwards and Valerie Edwards.
Fun and loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered and dearly missed by all, including many uncles and aunts, cousins and friends. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, who served on the U.S.S. Saratoga Aircraft Carrier as a Boatswain Mate, where he traveled the world. He was a 30 year member of the Ironworker Local Union 1.
Ronaldo was an enthusiastic Chicago sports fan devoted to the Chicago Bears, White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks. He enjoyed wood carving and helping others with his electrical and carpenter skills. We hope his legacy of Love, Kindness and Wisdom will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and many friends.
A Memorial Service in remembrance of Ronaldo will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Sadowski Funeral Home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Prayer Service to commence at 3:30 PM. Public Services to conclude at 4:00 PM.
Ronaldo will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
