Kathryn Ann Edwards, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on April 4, 1947, in Indianapolis, to her parents James and Deloris (Walker) Lee, Kathryn spent her life embracing the joys of family and creativity.

Kathryn is survived by her two daughters: Shannon Chastain of Edinburgh and Shelly Sorrell of Columbus, IN; son, Michael Edwards (Amanda) of TN; seven grandchildren: Mark Simion Jr (Janesha), Megan Stewart, Michelle Gettings, Trevor, Phillip, Kyrsten, and Preston Johnston; five great grandchildren: Dominic, Jonah, Carter, Preston Layne and Artie, with one on the way; brother, David Lee (Nancy); sister, Becky Smith; two nieces, Carissa Knoy (Brian) and Ashley Lockwood (Garrett); and nephew, Clayton Smith (Alicia).

Kathryn is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Dennis Edwards; one niece, Ronna Lee; and nephew, Lincoln Lee.

A proud mother, Kathryn's heart overflowed with love to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her spirit shined brightly through her many passions, including shopping, knitting, sewing, crafting, and tackling crossword puzzles. Kathryn was known for her beautiful smile, infectious laughter, and a pure-hearted kindness that touched everyone she met.

Kathryn was a graduate of Eminence High School. For many years, Kathryn served as a dedicated secretary at Hoosier Air Trucking Company, where her warmth and personality made her a beloved member of the trucking community.

Kathryn's family will gather to honor her life and memory, with a memorial service and gathering. Details of these services will be forthcoming, as they invite friends and family to share in the loving remembrance of Kathryn's sweet spirit.

As they mourn her passing, they will forever carry her laughter and love in their hearts. Kathryn will be dearly missed but remembered for her beauty, humor, and the lasting impact she had on all who were fortunate to know her.
