Ronda Snell Obituary

Ronda Leigh Snell, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, went to be with her Savior Jesus on July 6, 2025. She is finally home, where she belongs, in the presence of the One she loved and served so faithfully. Ronda was born on February 12, 1964, to Curt and Joan Hartzell and grew up in a warm and loving home alongside her two siblings, Carie Winter (Steve – husband) and Jeff Hartzell. From the very beginning, Ronda’s life was marked by joy, energy, and an infectious smile that could light up any room. She was married to the love of her life, John Snell, for 42 wonderful years. Together they built a Christ-centered home overflowing with love, laughter, and purpose. They were blessed with three sons: Luke (Bethany – wife), Hans (Kaitlyn – wife), and Ben. Ronda’s joy was found in her family, and she poured her heart into raising her boys, homeschooling them with creativity, dedication, and delight. Ronda lived every day with a sense of joy that was contagious. Her life motto, “If it’s not fun, it’s not worth doing. But anything can be fun depending on your attitude,” wasn’t just something she said—it was how she lived. Whether it was in the kitchen baking with her boys, crafting baskets with friends, or organizing church gatherings like "Snack and Yak," Ronda infused everything she did with laughter, fun, and a sense of purpose. She found deep joy in the everyday, and her enthusiasm made even simple moments feel special. In her younger years, Ronda loved spending time with her horses—until motherhood became her top priority. Her joy didn’t diminish; it simply shifted into a new, even more fulfilling chapter of life. Her home became a place of warmth and encouragement, and her presence was a steady source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends. Ronda was also a proud and loving grandmother to five precious grandchildren who adored her. Her beaming smile—always warm, always genuine—will be one of the most remembered and missed parts of her legacy. That smile wasn’t just an expression; it was a reflection of the joy she carried in her heart, no matter the season of life. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing Ronda is now in the presence of her Savior, free from pain and full of eternal joy. Her legacy of faith, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:21 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fruita Faith Baptist Church at 180 S Elm St., Fruita, CO 81521 or online at fruitafaith.com. A memorial service will be held at the church on July 18th at 10:30 a.m.
