Forest Bachand Obituary

Forest James Bachand

May 18, 2000 - January 4, 2025

Forest "Fritz" James Bachand passed away on January 4th, 2025, at the age of 24. He is survived by two sets of loving parents and three devoted siblings.

Though his time was short, Forest lived with uncommon depth and intensity. Had he lived to fifty, many believe he would have become an accomplished novelist. He was always writing books, songs, short stories using words to wrestle with the complexities of life and capture the richness of the human experience.

A lifelong learner, Forest pursued self-guided studies in subjects ranging from psychology to physics. His curiosity was boundless, and his creativity knew no limits.

More than anything, Forest was kind. He gave generously to those in need his time, his care, his resources. In the final year of his life, he worked as a detox counselor, helping people navigate some of their hardest moments. With what little spare time and money he had, he handed out blankets to people on the street, always seeking to bring warmth to others.

Forest left a deep impression on those lucky enough to know him. His empathy, intellect, and spirit will be remembered, and he will be sorely missed by many.
