Roni Sue McDonald

Bucksport- Roni Sue (Holmes) McDonald, 57, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2024. She was born December 7, 1966, in Mars Hill, ME. to Darlene Lynch (Burgess) and Ronald Holmes. Sue attended Hermon High School and worked as a CNA/CRMA for most of her career. Her loving and caring spirit made her a special caregiver to many over the years. Her children and grandchildren were her everything. Sue is survived by her husband, James McDonald, of Bucksport, daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Isaac Dorr of Orland, daughter and son-in-law, Kristine Cary and Douglas Hardy of Belfast, and her very special grandchildren, Cameron Hardy, Kahli Hardy, and Mackenzie Dorr. She is also survived by her brothers Guy Holmes, Ron Holmes, and Ricky Holmes, and sisters Karen Clukey and Tammy Wetmore, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her niece, Sarah, and her loving fiancé, Bruce Hall. A private burial will be held at a later date.
