Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Mar. 6, 2026.
Ronnie Lynn Doster, 81, passed away on February 15, 2026.

He was born on August 14, 1944, in San Francisco, California. Around the age of four, Ronnie moved with his family to Amarillo, Texas, where he spent much of his early life. Throughout the years, he lived in many places, building stories and memories everywhere he went.

In 1961, Ronnie met the love of his life, Charlotte Billings. Their relationship quickly grew, and the two were married in 1964, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with family, laughter, and shared experiences.

Ronnie was known for his love of the outdoors and simple pleasures. He enjoyed hunting, watching westerns and war movies, and-most memorably-telling tall tales that could captivate any room. His storytelling, humor, and personality left lasting impressions on all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte Doster; his sons, Michael Lynn Doster and his wife Kimberly, and David Wayne Doster and his wife Stefani.

He is also survived by his brothers, Dennis Massey and his wife Cheryl, Steven Doster and his daughter Christa Doster Conino and by nephew, Rodney Otto and his wife Joanne.

Ronnie's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Greg Doster and his wife Carly; Dionna Hammonds and her husband Steven; Darien Zuiddam and her husband Leroy; Matthew Doster and his fiancée Kiaya; Garrett Doster; Alex Zalewski and her husband Damien; Katelin Poage and her husband Kyle; and Nathan Otto.

He was further blessed with great-grandchildren: Jagger, Summer, Philow, and Finley.

Ronnie will be remembered for his stories, his laughter, and the love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
