Ronnie "Dude" Eskridge, 66, passed away at home on Saturday, August 30, 2025 in South Bend.

Ronnie was born on August 07, 1959 in Knox, IN to the late Joseph and Virginia (Watkins) Eskridge. He was also preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Jack and Betty Martsolf, sisters-in-law, Donna and Sue Brittain.

Left to cherish the memories of Ronnie is the love of his life, Kathy (Martsolf) Eskridge; children, Jennifer Eskridge, Michelle (Drew) Long, James (Crystle) Haisley, Jr.; grandsons, Bradjen Horvath, Cayden Eskridge, Jaxton Cress, Jameson Cress, Brantley Long, Christian Haisley, Austin Spurgeon, Ethan Spurgeon; granddaughters, Kylee Coquillard, Alanna Horvath, Tru Spurgeon; and 1 great-grandson on the way; brothers, Dean Brittain, Sr., Ronald Brittain, Terry (Juanita) Brittain, Richard Brittain, Michael Lang; sister, Diana (Ron)Babbs; in-laws, Ken (Cathy) Martsolf, Carolyn Miller, Kristle (Mike Horvath) Holaway: step-dad, Chuck (Sandy) Henderson; numerous nieces and nephews; and special nephew; Tracey Brittain, who helped his wife, Kathy care for Ronnie on a regular basis.

Ronnie worked for over 26 years at R & L Carriers. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting. He was proud of his coin and tool collections. He loved riding his motorcycle and snowmobile. Ronnie was a big jokester who loved playing tricks on people and making them laugh. Ronnie was a very handy carpenter; he remodeled his entire house and helped other family members with their homes and projects. Ronnie truly loved his family, especially his wife, Kathy. He spoiled her daily.

Friends and family will be received 4:00 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, September 3, 2025 in Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S Mayflower Rd South Bend. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 4, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial Contributions may be made to assist with services.
