Ronnie Lamar Helms, 53, of Youngstown, Ohio, departed this life on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Helms was born on July 23, 1972, the son of Joseph W. Ford Sr. and Norma J. Ford-Helms. He was a longtime member of We Walk by Faith Bible Church. Ronnie enjoyed his time working at Uptown Pizza before becoming too ill to continue. He especially cherished spending time with his beloved family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Corey J. Helms; his son, Marquise Dent; five brothers, Anthony Helms, Stephen Helms, John Helms, Joseph Ford Sr., and Phillip Shaver; four sisters, his twin sister, Rosalyn Helms, Valerie Helms, Carolyn Ford, and Angela Martin; six grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Helms; two sisters, Kimberly Helms and Jacqueline Ford; and nephews Kendall Jones, Kristopher Helms, Jamie Helms, and Isaiah Helms.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at We Walk by Faith Bible Church, 1636 Himrod Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44506.
