Diane Patricia Williams, affectionately known as “Debbie,” of Youngstown, Ohio, was called to her eternal resting place on February 23, 2026, at Mercy Health Hospital.
Born on October 14, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, Diane was the daughter of Lawrence Williams and Willie Ruth Alexander. She was raised on the south side of Youngstown on Carroll Street and attended South High School. Throughout her life, Diane accomplished so much and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Diane was the most genuine, loyal, and caring person. She was known as a protector and provider, especially when it came to her family and loved ones. Affectionately called “Debbie” by family and friends, the name always brought a smile to her face.
She enjoyed spending time with two of her best friends, Janet Roland and Helen Lacey, often having sleepovers and sharing laughter. She also cherished her longtime close friend, Cordelia “Cory” Traylor. Diane appreciated life’s simple pleasures, including a cold Pepsi, Advil PM, and a pack of Kools Filter Kings.
Diane leaves to cherish her precious memories her common law husband, David J. Ross; her daughters, Kamara S. Williams (Steve McQueen) and Lena A. Williams (Patrick Riley Sr.); her nine grandchildren, Allan Williams, Arron M. (Jennifer) Williams, Taneja D. Williams, Stephon McQueen, Jeremiah McQueen, Patrick Riley Jr., Lyndale Riley, Justice McQueen; and her four great grandchildren, Allan Williams Jr., Neveah Williams, Arron Williams, and Arron Williams Jr. She also leaves her sister, Pat Dixon; her brothers, Daryl Harrison and David Williams; a niece TeeTee Traylor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence K. Williams and Willie Ruth Alexander; her grandmother who raised her, Lena P. Williams, also known as “Patcy”; her daughter, Tracey Williams; her grandson, Keyshawn McQueen; her best friend, Helen Lacey; her brother, Lawrence Williams Jr.; her sister, Jene Harrison; her aunt, Florence Johnson; and her mother in law, Effie Ross.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at 511 W. Rayen Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44502 under the direction of Gregory-Martin Funeral Home (Steubenville).
