Ronnie Joe Pruett, 62, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at his home. He was born February 1, 1953 in Waverly, Tennessee, a son of the late William Harold and Katie Bell (Page) Pruett. He married Deborah A. (Lawrence) Pruett on September 30, 1974 in Edwardsville and she survives. He loved driving his truck with over 40 years of dedicated service as a truckdriver. He enjoyed his days of riding his motorcycle and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with his family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by five daughters and a son-in-law, Tami Lawrence, Stephanie Pruett, Kimberly Pruett, Melissa and Danny Wozniak and Stacy Pruett; one son, Jessie Galvin; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Ashtin, Haily, Jessie, Garrett, Lana and Nicole; two great grandchildren, Avery and Dylan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Bill Jacobs and Vicki and Bob Fry; four brothers, Stevie, Gene, Larry and Danny Pruett; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaden Pruett; two sisters, Betty Atchison and Bonnie Liebold and two brothers, Bill and Wayne Pruett. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Henry Crippen officiating. Memorial may be made to the Pruett family and may be accepted at the funeral home.
