Ronnie Smith Obituary
Ronnie Smith, age 77, of 613 Duncan Avenue, Unadilla, died Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence.
Ronnie was born in Montezuma to the late Ernest J. Smith and Sannie Suggs Smith. He served in the United States Army Reserves and retired after many years as an insurance agent with American General. Ronnie loved fishing and deer hunting but more than anything else, he cherished the time he spent with his family. The holidays, especially Thanksgiving, were important to him. He always loved having his family together during these times.
Survivors include:
Companion: Debbie Wainwright of Butler
Daughter: Wanda Dobson (Paul) of Adel
Son: Ron Smith of Columbia, SC
Grandchildren:
Hayley Pickle (Ross)
Claire Dobson
Jake Dobson
Brant Dobson
Niece: Stephanie Frick (Ray) of Monroe
Nephew: Keith Smith of Savannah
Great Niece: Paige Frick
Great Great Niece: Bravery Frick
Ronnie was looking forward to the arrival of his great grandson, Riley Pickle in August.
His brother, Johnny Smith, preceded him in death.
Graveside services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, April 24 in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 1 - 2:30 PM Wednesday, April 24 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for Claire's ongoing health care. Please make the check payable to Ansleigh Claire Dobson and mail it to 1565 Cox Still Road, Adel, Georgia 31620.
