Ronnie Dewayne Sutton was born on June 21, 1961 in Lexington Oklahoma to Doyle and Ellen (Holder) Sutton. He attended Lexington Public Schools. As a young man, Ronnie worked on drilling rigs and seismographing. In his spare time, he began working with his dad doing roofing and with his grandpa doing construction. Working with these men, Ronnie was able to witness the faith and love of God, along with their strong and diligent work ethics. Brother Harold Holder brought Ronnie to Hobbs. Together they worked on Brother Jim & Sister Anna Jean's house. Ronnie was baptized into The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn on May 5, 1983 by his grandpa during this trip. Also, during this trip, he met the love of his life Angela Dawn Wittman. They began dating and married December 17, 1983. They celebrated 41 years together. To this union 3 children were born Kimberly, Dakota, and Kody. Ronnie and Angela started married life in Lexington Oklahoma. They lived there for 13 years while Ronnie was working for the Lexington Public School System. In 1996 they moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, where he worked at Lea County Detention Center for a season. Then started Sutton Roofing and Construction. Ronne had a great love for the Lord. His preaching, teaching and life reflected his desire to make Heaven his eternal home. Ronnie was ordained an elder April 10, 2011 in The General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn at the old block church here in Hobbs. Brother Sam and Sister Theresa Gilcrease held a very special place in his heart. Brother Sam always kept Ronnie on his toes, reading and visiting about scriptures. Ronnie enjoyed visiting with Brethren and talking on the word. One great joy of Ronnie's was he loved grilling and smoking meat which of course meant he loved to eat, and share with everyone. Ronnie was an avid Boomer Sooner fan, watching football was top on his list. He enjoyed working puzzle. Many many fond memories, were made hunting and camping.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Angela, daughter Kim (Kevin) Northrup, son Kody, mother Ellen Sutton, brother Steve Sutton, sister Cindy Watkins, adopted son and daughter in heart Aaron and Courtney Jazek., Grandchildren Oliva, Andrew, Mckenna and Baby Jazek, on the way. Chisum and Tymber Wittman, Numerous nieces, nephews family and friends. Preceded in death by his father Doyle Sutton, son Dakota Sutton, parents in-love Virgil and Lawania Wittman, and a adopted in love grandson Maverick Wittman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10:00 am at General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
