Ronnie L. Tuttle, age 61, of Sweetwater, TN, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on March 1, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1964, in Crossville, TN.
Ronnie devoted his life to preaching the gospel and pastored several churches throughout his ministry. He was a member of Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Paint Rock, TN, where he previously served as pastor for 12 years. In addition to his ministry, Ronnie worked as a carpenter for Lemons Construction for 32 years. He enjoyed long motorcycle rides with family and friends, hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, and spending time with those he loved. He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa, pastor, friend, and family member and so much more to everyone who knew him. To know him was to love him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvlee and Mildred Tuttle; brothers, Alvis, Larry, Bill, and Donnie Tuttle; and sister, Lynda King.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Teresa Tuttle; son, Jeremy (Brittney) Tuttle; granddaughter, Mahala “Haylee” Tuttle (his Sweet Pea); bonus son, Justin (Kendra) Tuttle; bonus grandchildren, SaraBeth and Silas Tuttle; brothers, David Tuttle (Glenda) and Bobby Tuttle; sisters, Judy Norris (Tom), Elizabeth Goodman, and Caroline Maddox (Jim); brothers-in-law, Bo Carroll (Roz), James Johnson (Connie), and John Johnson (Tonya); sister-in-law, Carolyn Johnson; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Ronnie shared a special bond with his co-workers Hayden and Parker Brackett, Jimmy Anderson, and Mitch Lemons, whom he considered family.
He also had two very close friends who were like brothers to him, Gene Bailey and Chuck Hicks. He shared a special bond with his nephews Billy Norris, Jeff Tuttle, and Danny Tuttle.
Serving as pallbearers are Billy Norris, Gene Bailey, Chuck Hicks, John Johnson, George Maddox, Jimmy Maddox, Andrew Davidson, and Tony Duggan.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that we will see him again.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” Psalm 116:15
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.” Timothy 4:7–8
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Mike Strickland and Donald Umphrey officiating.
