Mr. Ronny Burroughs, fondly known as "Ron" or "Ron Ron", was born on August 23, 1956, to Mary Etta Burroughs (Williams) and the late Rufus Burroughs Sr.. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, at HMH JFK University Medical Center in Edison, NJ surrounded by his niece, Simonne, brother Rufus (Najee), and sister-in-law Patricia.
After graduating from high school, Ronny worked at the Lyons VA in Lyons, New Jersey. He later moved to NYC to become an entrepreneur and business owner. He also worked as a chef in American fare restaurants until he suffered from medical illnesses that forced him to retire. He spent his remaining years being the primary caregiver to his mother, Mary, until his passing.
Ronny was a quiet man who kept to himself. He was a man who loved to give to others. He was always ready to listen and offer wise advice. He loved music, old movies, fishing, and enjoyed playing with new technology. He had a special place in his heart for his niece, Simonne Ali, whom he fondly called Mone Moan, and she would show him how to use his new gadgets. Ronny had many loves in his life, but his first love was his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Burroughs Sr., and sisters Carlene Burroughs-Rowe and Linda Faye Burroughs. He is survived by his children, Cartrell, Omar, and Raniquah Burroughs; his mother, Mary Burroughs; his brothers, Rufus (Najee) and Andre; and his sister, Valerie Burroughs, as well as a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
