Ronny H. Scruggs, Sr. was born on May 9, 1966, in Midville, Georgia. He departed this life on November 11, 2025, in Augusta, Georgia, leaving behind a rich legacy filled with love, work, and the memories of a devoted family.
A proud graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, Ronny dedicated his professional life to the automotive industry, working for many years primarily dealing with cars. His commitment to his career showcased both his passion and determination, earning him respect among peers and clients alike.
Ronny is survived by his loving family, including his sons Ronny Scruggs, Jr., Rochel Scruggs, and Daveon Scruggs. He shared a close bond with his mother, Fannie Scruggs, and he is mourned by his siblings: Curtis (Renee) Smith, Sr., Willie Scruggs, Elbert Scruggs, Rose Scruggs, Janny (Mark) Pollard, and Evelyn (Jermiah) Walker, as well as his sister Michelle (Maurice) Heath. Additionally, Ronny held a special friendship with Arron Williams, who was a devoted friend throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Scruggs, and his beloved sister Patricia Hannah, along with his brothers Horace, Henry, and Melvin Scruggs. Their memories remain cherished among those who knew and loved them.
In recognition of Ronny's life and contributions, visitation will take place on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at C.A. Reid Sr. Memorial Funeral Home, located at 314-A Laney Walker Blvd Ext., Augusta, GA 30901. A Celebration of Life will follow on Saturday, November 22, 2025, starting at 2:30 PM and concluding at 3:30 PM, also at the same location.
Ronny H. Scruggs, Sr. will be remembered not just for his professional endeavors but for the love and joy he brought to the lives of those around him. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends as they carry on his legacy.
