Rosa "Rosie" Helms (86) passed away on 24 July 2025 peacefully at home. Rosie was born in Asbach Germany on 22 July 1939 to Rosa and Ludwig Weinzierl. She was a loving daughter, mother, wife, friend, and grandmother to all.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, her brothers Franz Eichinger and Ludwig Weinzierl, and sisters Anni Schuh and Hilde Greisbacher, and Rosie's daughter Cornelia Hooper.
She is survived by her brother Walter Weinzierl (and son's Daniel and Sandro), husband Douglas Edward Helms (and children Douglas Elvis Helms (grandchildren Dietrich and Melani), Thomas Marlon Helms (wife Jeesun Kim and grandchildren Joseph and Hannah), and Christina Eve Helms Allen and Toby Allen (and grandchildren Taylor, Mason, Peyton, and Riley).
A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church at 10:00AM on 6 August 2025, located at 1520 N. Railroad Ave., Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The burial service will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00PM on 6 August 2025, located at 11463 Highway 195, Kileen Tx. 76542.
