Mrs. Rosa Mae Miller-Jones

Mrs. Rosa Mae Miller Jones was born on March 30, 1938, to Wiley Lee Miller and Jessie Mae Miller in Griffin, Georgia. She received her formal education at Fairmont High School in Griffin, Georgia.

Mother Rosa Mae Miller Jones accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was united with Eighth Street Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Antoine C. Lucas, Sr., where she sang in the Senior Choir.

Ms. Rosa Mae Miller was united in holy matrimony with Mr. Walter T. Jones, Sr., in Griffin, Georgia. She was employed by Griffin Healthcare as a Dietary Aide for many years, until she retired.

In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing, helping others, and most of all she loved spending time with her family.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Mother Rosa Mae Miller Jones' name was called, and she answered and was set free from all sickness and pain. Rest now in peace and comfort, your journey has ended, battle fought, and victory won. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley Lee Miller and Jessie Mae Miller, her grandson, Kenneth "OB" Jones, and her brothers-in-law, Otis Drewery, and Willie Lee Blanton.

Mother Rosa Mae Miller Jones leaves a legacy of beautiful memories in the heart of her loving children, Walter "Rick" (Gwendolyn) Jones, Craig (Crystal) Varner, and Janis (Andrick) Varner; siblings, Angelyn Drewery, Patricia Blanton, Marvin Miller, Keith (Ingrid) Miller, and Clark Miller; grandchildren, Kesia Jones, Nichole Jones, Joshua Jones, Jeremy Jones, Aaron (Candace) Varner, Andarius Varner, Avery Varner, Janisha Varner, Mazieh Jones, Antwan Jones, Jamarcus Jones, Jaden Jones, Christopher Jones, and Jeremiah Evans; 29 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives that will her dearly.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 4:00 Pm - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. Bishop Christopher E. Clark, Sr., is the Eulogist, and Pastor Antoine C. Lucas, Sr., is the Officiant.
