Rosa Emilia Monarez, a beloved matriarch, was born on May 23, 1941, and began her eternal journey on October 18, 2025. Rosa’s life was a tapestry of love, service, and joy, woven intricately through her various roles as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Rosa was the heart of her family and the life of every gathering. She had an extraordinary talent for making even the most ordinary moments feel special, and her vibrant spirit was infectious. Every holiday in her home was an event filled with laughter and dance; she could always be found leading the way on the dance floor, her enthusiasm encouraging all around her to join in. Her family fondly recalls how she filled their lives with warmth and joy, creating memories that will linger in their hearts forever.
As a proud wife to her husband, Raymundo Monarez, Rosa shared a bond built on love and mutual respect. Together, they nurtured their daughters, Rosa Maria Monarez Smith, Maritza Monarez Riesgo, and Vanessa Monarez, imparting wisdom, kindness, and the importance of family values. With each act of love and support, she set an inspiring example, fostering a strong family legacy.
Rosa's commitment to her community was nothing short of remarkable. For 38 years, she devoted herself as a catechism teacher at San Felipe de Jesus. Known for her servant leadership, she made an impact beyond her own family, pouring her time and energy into the lives of countless children and families. Her roles included being a president of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), where she tirelessly volunteered, demonstrating her unwavering belief in the power of education and community.
Traveling with her church community brought Rosa immense joy, allowing her to explore new places while deepening her faith. She cherished these experiences and relished the friendships she cultivated along the way. In her quieter moments, Rosa found solace in walking, enjoying the peace and relaxation that accompanied this simple yet fulfilling hobby.
Rosa was more than just a mother and grandmother; she was the anchor of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her grace, wisdom, and enduring spirit.
