Rosa Maria Astorga Olivera, 64 was born March 20, 1961 in her parents' home in Atotonilco, Durango, Mexico who entered eternal life on Thursday June 5, 2025 in her family home in Tampa, Florida.
Her spirit is carried on by her husband, her three children, her four grandchildren, and her three siblings. As well her extended family of relations and friends from California, Florida, and Mexico. We were blessed to learn many life lessons from Rosa in her 64 years of life, and her biggest were Understanding, Loyalty, unwavering Compassion and Love for all. Rosa loved being surrounded with those she loved until the end, having her house full of friends and family and children running around and eating great food gave her the biggest joy in her life, she could talk to you for hours, laugh and cry with you and made sure that you knew you were loved and heard. Rosa was a selfless person and would always welcome anyone and everyone into her home, she was a devout Catholic and loved Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Divine child Jesus.
She is survived by Jose Gozalez Olivera (Husband), Maria Contreras (Sister), Ismael Astorga (Brother), Jesus Astorga (Brother), Manuel Olivera (Son) (his wife Stephanie Olivera), Jose Olivera (son) (his wife Courtney Olivera, his children Alexus Olivera [17] and Carmen Elizabeth Olivera [5]), and Guadalupe Olivera (Daughter) (her Fiancé Eliseo Aguilar, her children Eliseo Jr Aguilar [7] and Thor Antonio Aguilar[3]), Rosa has been reunited with her predeceased family, Namecio Astorga (Father), Esther Fileto (Mother), Marcelino Astorga (Brother), and Lorenzo Astorga (Brother)
Rosa, you gave us a gift that not many mothers can give and that's the gift of you being with us your whole life, parents experience their children growing old and leaving the house and building and creating families of their own. You stayed with all of us for extended times of your life. This allowed all of us to have you and take you on many different vacations, experience our children grow up at different ages, experience all holidays with us, but none the less you gave us all your love until the very end. You never wanted to be alone and as promised your family was at your side. This void we are all feelings is a testimony to the love you showed us and the love and compassion we felt in return. We will never forget you, we will succeed in life because of the life you sacrificed for us. We will look for you in everything we do and will pray to you every day. Our memories of you will be spread for generations to come, whether it's a memory, or a recipe you will live on for eternity.
Prayer for Rosa
O BLESSED JOSEPH, who yielded up thy last breath in the armsof Jesus and Mary, obtain for me this grace, O holy Joseph,that I may breathe forth my soul in praise, saying in spirit,if I am unable to do so in words:
"Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give Thee my heart and my soul."Amen.
Prayer for the Grieving
I compassionate thee, O sorrowful Mother Mary, on account of that agony of soul which racked thy most loving heart at the burial of Jesus. O dearest Mother, through this extreme torment that filled thy burdened heart, implore for me the virtue of zeal and the Gift of Wisdom.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary full of grace,
the lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus, Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.
AMEN.
el Señor es contigo;
