Rosa Pinto Obituary

Published by Legacy on Apr. 21, 2022.
Rosa Pinto (nee Roselli), 82 years of East Orange, N.J., unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of 46 years to Vittorio Pinto; loving mother of Loredana Pinto, Maria Rosa Pinto, Patrizia Paglianite, Gabriella Pinto and Teresa Pinto Diaz; dear mother-in-law of Richard Paglianite, Mauro Pucillo and Cristian Diaz and cherished grandmother of Ginevra Pucillo, Giuliana Paglianite and Valentina Paglianite.
Mrs. Pinto was predeceased by her parents, Arcadio Roselli and Maria Rosa Capasso, brother, Giuseppe Roselli and sister, Teresa Roselli.
Born in Pescopagano, Italy, Mrs. Pinto came to the US in 1975 and was a homemaker who raised five daughters. She was a devout Catholic with a passion for the Saints. A selfless and simple woman who always put herself second to ensure everyone around her was taken care of. Her passion since childhood was needlepoint, crocheting and knitting which she maintained up until her death. She loved to cook, garden, listen to opera, discuss history, and could recite ancient proverbs on que. She always had great advice or a life lesson to share and would always manage to say something unexpectedly sassy making us all laugh. A lover of nature and animals, especially her beloved cat, Lino that followed her everywhere and the birds that waited daily for food from her. She maintained her Italian traditions throughout her time in the USA, including making her own sauce, specialty desserts and pasta especially her husband's favorite raviolis. Family time was always surrounded by a home cooked meal which she proudly made.
She was a dedicated wife and amazing mother who always ensured her family was taken care of. Her greatest joys were her 3 grandchildren whom she spoiled with food, ancient songs and affection. She adored cooking for them and planned her menus around their requests. She would always say they were the joys of her life and her greatest gifts.
She treated her friends as family and would often time be on the phone for hours with them. Those conversations kept her going throughout some of her toughest days when she got sick. She loved her Son-in-Laws and welcomed them into her home as her own spoiling them with food. She was so loved and so pure and will be greatly missed by her devastated family. She was a rare gem that will never be replicated on this Earth and her family takes comfort knowing she is in Paradise finally being spoiled.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at Paul Ippolito-Dancy Memorial, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell, N.J., on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 to 6 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, East Orange, on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 9 a.m. The burial will be at Gates of Heaven in East Hanover, NJ.
