On Monday, September 22, 2025, at the blessed age of 90, our beloved Rosa Page Stubblefield (aka Rosie) peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC. Born on September 15, 1935, to the late John Henry Page Sr. and Eleanor Brown Page, Rosie was a devoted woman of faith whose life reflected grace, kindness, and steadfast love. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Curtis Stubblefield.
Rosie’s gentle spirit and nurturing heart touched everyone she met. She was a woman of God who understood and made many Godly sacrifices to help others. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13. She was not only a mother to her children but truly a mother to many, impacting and guiding countless people with her wisdom, compassion, and love.
Her life was a living testimony of God’s grace, goodness, and a reflection of God’s love. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory three sons, Dennis Stubblefield of Reidsville, NC, Gregory Stubblefield of Charlotte, NC, and Troy Stubblefield of Ruffin, NC; two daughters, Karen Stubblefield of Charlotte, NC, and Rosetta Brown of Reidsville, NC; and her bonus daughter, Ashley Hughes of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren,One great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Stubblefield; her son, Michael Stubblefield; three brothers, John H. Page Jr., James N. Page, and Joseph Edward Page Sr.; and three sisters, Barbara Ann Carter, Mildred Gattling, and Ida Mae Hart.
