Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral & Cremation Care on Oct. 17, 2025.
It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a truly exceptional woman, Rosalee Irene Robinson, known affectionately as Rosie by her loved ones. Born on November 23, 1943, in
Morgantown, WV, USA, where she resided for 81 glorious years, she departed from this life on April 7, 2025. An embodiment of compassion and courage, Rosalee lived her life with an unwavering strength and an infectious warmth that touched everyone she interacted with.
Rosie was a woman of many talents and passions. She dedicated her professional life to Mon General Hospital, serving faithfully as a Hystotechnologist until her retirement. Her work was a testament to her supportive and loving nature, always ensuring others were taken care of with utmost diligence. Outside of her work, she found solace in the simplicity of fishing and the comfort of her family, which was the cornerstone of her existence. In the words of Mother Teresa, "Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put into that action." This quote truly encapsulates Rosie's life philosophy.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Crystal (Keith) Wilson and Kathy (Nelson) Chin, cherished grandchildren Shawn (Alexys) Stiles, Cody (Rachel) Stiles, Leah Chin, and Landen Chin. She is also remembered fondly by her sons-in-law Nelson (Kathy) Chin and Keith (Crystal) Wilson, and grandchildren-in-law Rachel (Cody) Stiles and Alexys (Shawn) Lukac. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, James and Mary Kerns, and her beloved husband, James Robinson.
Rosalee's love, courage, and kindness will forever echo in the hearts of those she left behind. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of the human spirit, and the boundless capacity for compassion. In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Rosie's impact was one such beautiful thing, felt deeply by all who were fortunate to know her.
