Rosalin D. Bogar was born to the late James Bogar Sr. and the late Junetta Bogar-Welcher on February 18, 1966. She slept away from this life on December 31, 2025. Ra-Ra as she was affectionately called by family and friends. Rosalin was educated in the Newark school system and later gained her High School diploma from an alternate education program.
She worked for 20 years as a Lead Teacher in the infant room at Sarah Ward Daycare Center on Lock Street, in
Newark, New Jersey. For the last seven years she worked as a Disability Support Worker at the Jewish Services Development of Disabilities, in West Orange, New Jersey. Rosalin loved working at both facilities giving back to others and interacting with their family members.
Aspirant Missionary Rosalin Bogar was a member of Upshaw Temple Church of God in Christ under the tutelage of the late Bishop Dewey Upshaw. As a teenager she had a heart and love for God. There she sang the songs and praise of God in the Young Adult Choir. She later became a member of the New Born Mission Church of God in Christ in 1999 under the leadership of the founder and Pastor, the late Superintendent Ben L. Davis and his wife the late Mother Berline Davis. Under the leadership of Superintendent Ben Davis, she was appointed the Primary Sunday School Teacher, YWCC President and Rosalin answered the call to ministry. After the demise of Superintendent Ben Davis, she continued to work under leadership of Elder Anthony Williams Sr. Rosalin loved ministry and often worked with the pulpit committee serving the pastor and guest speakers. She also worked as a finance officer.
Missionary Bogar moved her membership to ABBAs House & Hub in 2023, were she served as the Pastor's Aide to Pastor Natalie Bullock. It was under Pastor Bullock's ministry that she fulfilled a lifelong dream of ministering to families in other countries. She along with Pastor Bullock and other members of ABBAs House went to Kenya in October of 2024. She was overjoyed with the opportunity she had been granted to show love and minister to families in need.
Rosalin leaves to cherish her memory two sons Muhammad and Bernard Bogar, two daughters Sonya (Lloyd) Bogan, and Cierra. Four grandchildren Tazzire and Ziyana Bogan, Mehziyah and Mariah Bogar; one great-granddaughter, Heaven Bogan; two brothers Julius, and James Bogar Jr. Two aunts Cynthia Lanier-Diop and Elizabeth Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends. Members of the ABBAs House & Hub, and the New Born Mission church family.
She was preceded in death by her sister Andrea Bogar; her daughter Shana Bogar; her grandson, Tygee Hutchinson; two uncles Selton and Lytton Dove; two aunts Elaine Smith and District Missionary Celesha Dove.
Several of her favorite sayings are "Live Life to the Fullest", "You are not the boss of me", "Talk to me Nice", and "Where there is Life there is Hope".
