In Loving Memory of Rosalina O. Blum February 8, 1957 – May 19, 2025 With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Rosalina O. Blum, who peacefully transitioned to eternal life and went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on February 8, 1957, in the small town of San Antonio, nestled in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, Rosalina was the cherished daughter of Luis and Carmen Oliveros. As one of nine children, she grew up in a vibrant and loving household where faith, family, and community were the cornerstones of daily life. At the age of 18, Rosalina met the love of her life, Paul Blum. Their beautiful journey together began with a romance rooted in love and companionship and blossomed into a marriage that spanned 47 years. At 21, she moved to California, where together they built a life full of grace, family, and devotion. Rosalina was a devoted and nurturing wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul Blum, daughters Karen Esaki, Lisa Blum, and Randy Betancourt, and her beloved grandchildren Sophia, Noah, and Kayden, who will carry her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Her Catholic faith was the guiding light of her life. A devout follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, Rosalina was an active and faithful parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley, California. She generously gave her time and heart as a volunteer and catechism teacher, guiding children in grades 3 through 5 in their spiritual journeys. Rosalina had a deep love for traveling, finding joy in discovering new places, cultures, and creating memories with family and friends. Her heart was always fullest when she was surrounded by her loved ones or in prayerful service to her church. Rosalina's presence was a blessing to all who knew her. Her warm spirit, gentle wisdom, infectious smile, and steadfast faith touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed. Though she has left this earthly life, her love and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those she cherished. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Rosalina's Rosary will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley, California, on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 7:15pm – 9:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley, California, at 10:00am. Burial at Assumption Cemetery in Simi Valley, California, following Mass. "Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23
