Rosalind Able Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home - Columbia on May 9, 2025.
Rosalind Denise "Lynn" Able was born April 25, 1960, in Columbia, South Carolina, and peacefully departed this life on Tuesday May 6, 2025, in the comfort of her home. She was the cherished daughter of the late Harold and Eloise L. Able.
Lynn, as she was affectionally known, touched countless lives with her kindness, grace, and unwavering faith. Her journey on this earth was one defined by love, compassion, and a steadfast devotion to God. Even in the face of illness, Lynn's faith remained unshaken. When asked how she was doing, she would respond with simple yet profound words: "God is good, I can't complain!" – and she never did.
From an early age, Lynn embraced her faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her spiritual path led her to Living Word of Deliverance Worship Center in Columbia, South Carolina, where she continued her steadfast walk with the Lord.
Lynn pursued her education at Spring Valley High School before earning her high school diploma through Adult Education in Richland School District 2.
Beyond her deep devotion to family and faith, Lynn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had an immense love for animals and cherished the companionship of her beloved pets. Whether it was caring for them or simply enjoying their presence, they brought her comfort and happiness. She also had a passion for watching movies, finding solace and delight in stories that transported her to different worlds and perspectives.
Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of her family and friends, yet her spirit will forever be a beacon of hope and inspiration. Though she is no longer with us in presence, her warmth, wisdom, and love will continue to live on in the memories of those who were blessed to know her.
Lynn celebrated life by spending precious moments with family and friends. She leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories, lovingly carried forward by her devoted brother, Vernon Eugene (Mildred) Hudson of Columbia, South Carolina, along with a host of beloved relatives and friends.
