Rosalyn Everett Pack passed away on January 6, 2026, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. She was born on March 20, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Thomas Lane Everett and Ann Elizabeth Scott Everett.

Rosalyn, who went by Roz, moved to New Orleans, Louisiana as a young adult, where she met Bruce Pack. They fell in love, and together they raised two sons. Roz provided part-time administrative support to churches throughout much of her adult life, while also educating her sons and supporting her family. Her family moved to Ruston, Louisiana, where Bruce trained for a second career as a pharmacist. In 2002, the family moved to Ada, Oklahoma, where Bruce was employed as a pharmacist by the Chickasaw Nation. Roz was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ada, Oklahoma and was also active in the community during this time.

Following Bruce’s death in 2009, Roz relocated to Bethany, Oklahoma. Although her health and ability to attend services declined in the last several years, she was a member of Mosaic Community Church in Oklahoma City and strongly supported its message of inclusive love, justice, faith, and compassion. Roz was a “collector of people,” and although an only child, she became close to and called many people “family” over the years. She was known for lending a supportive ear and counsel to many of her “sisters” and “kids,” even though most of these family members were chosen family rather than blood family. Roz was a proud mother and grandmother, eager to share with anyone who would listen about her sons’ families and accomplishments, as well as to show off photos of her grandchildren.

Roz was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children: Thomas Pack and his husband Matthew Mansh, of San Francisco, California; and David Pack and his wife Kristin Pack, of Saratoga, Wyoming. Roz is also survived by her five grandchildren, Lyla (13), Andrew (11), Fiona (9), Audrey (3), and Isaac (1). Roz’s collection of chosen family is too extensive to list, but includes: Kathie Acosta of Chalmette, Louisiana; Shayne Kasselman of Dallas, Texas; Nancy Lukacs of Kirkland, Washington; Amanda McDaniel of Choudrant, Louisiana; Rev. Scott Spencer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Vanessa Tidmore of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Roz will be buried in the spring with her beloved Bruce, near his ancestral home in the Cherokee Nation in northeastern Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to Mosaic Community Church, 3131 NW 50th Street Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
