Rosann Vojtek Mullens, 69 of Robinson, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in a Waco care facility where she was undergoing rehabilitation after a lengthy illness. A visitation and funeral service will be at Pecan Grove Funeral Home in Robinson, Texas. Visitation will be Friday, May 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31. Interment will follow at Robinson Cemetery.
Rosann was born in Houston, Texas on January 26, 1956, to Calvin and Esther Vojtek. She was a graduate of Spring Woods High School, later graduating from Massey Business College in Houston, Texas. Following her graduation, she was employed as a computer programmer at Petroleum Information in Houston.
She met her husband Larry Mullens at a company picnic and the couple married on May 19, 1979, in Houston. Employment opportunities brought Larry and Rosann back to Larry’s hometown of Robinson in 1985. Rosann worked several years at McLennan Community College as a computer programmer. Their family grew to three with the birth of their only child, daughter Kasey, on October 24, 1988.
Rosann later went to work at Robinson ISD, where she retired in 2015 after over 20 years of service. Her retirement was prompted by the opportunity to take care of her two grandchildren, Ella 9 and CJ 5. She loved her special time with them before they started PreK.
Rosann had a special love for children, and volunteered in leadership positions with Robinson Little League, Little Dribblers, Sunday school, church camps, Robinson Saddle Club and Robinson Band Boosters.
Driving the school bus was a great joy in her employment with Robinson ISD. She loved interacting and getting to know the students on her bus. She especially enjoyed the extracurricular school trips. She was an ardent Robinson Rocket fan. She was also a big Baylor Bear fan.
She and her family were active at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Robinson.
Rosann was proud to be the first female in the Mullens family. Her father-in-law called her “his girl” after having four sons.
She loved all animals, Bluebonnets, Indian Paint Brushes, and like her father, Rosann was an avid collector of coins, salt and pepper shakers, toys and stamps, and was a talented photographer.
Rosann was preceded in death by her parents John and Esther Vojtek, aunt and uncle Frank and Ella Adlong of Houston and in-laws Albert (June) and Lydia Mullens of Robinson.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years Larry Mullens; daughter Kasey Lenart and husband Chris; grandchildren Ella and CJ; brother Daniel and wife Cyndy of Bryan, Texas, brothers-in-law Jimmy and wife Bonnie of McGregor, Steven and wife Karen of Robinson, David and wife Diane of Lorena; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
