Roscoe D. Marcum

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roscoe Delmar Marcum on March 29, 2026, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Roscoe was born on January 4, 1931, in Wilsondale, WV, and he departed this world surrounded by the love of his family.

A proud U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War, Roscoe exhibited the same dedication and commitment in his work as a Motorman at US Steel, where he retired in 1983 after many years of service. He was a founding member of the Living Waters Church of God in Euclid, where he celebrated his faith with kindness and compassion.

Beyond his professional life, Roscoe was known for his love of the outdoors, whether it was hunting, camping, or simply tending to his yard. He had a wonderful sense of melody and joy, often singing Acappella with his brothers and sister as part of the "Buckeye Five", filling the homes and hearts of those around him with music.

Roscoe's gentle, kindhearted nature made him a beacon of light to so many; he embodied what it meant to be a man of God. His legacy of love and warmth will continue to inspire his family and friends for generations to come.

Roscoe is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Juanita J. Marcum, his children, JoAnn Borrelli, Cathy Sutch, and Michael H. Marcum (Tammi Priggins), his grandchildren, Christina (Michael) Considine, Shannon (Jamie) Fisher, Ashley Sutch, and Cassandra Sutch, his 4 great grandchildren, and his brother in-law, Roy (Diane) Walker.

Roscoe was preceded in death by his loving parents, Walter and Amanda Marcum, his son, Roscoe D. (Dale) Marcum, Jr. and his siblings, Willis "Bill" (Mary), William Jennings, Donald (Katherine), Walter Jr., Jarvey (Beth), Daryl, and Robert (Reva) Marcum and Deloris "Fay", (Kenneth) Brain.

Roscoe's Visitation will take place on Monday, April 6, 2026, 4-7:30 PM, at Monreal Srnick Funerals & Cremations where family and friends will gather to celebrate Roscoe's life and share the memories we all hold dear.

Roscoe's service will be Monday, April 6, 2026, at 7:30 pm, immediately following his visitation at Monreal Srnick Funerals Cremation, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake Ohio. Roscoe will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

In this time of sorrow, we find solace in knowing Roscoe has left us with a lifetime of joyous memories and an example of how to live with compassion and love. Rest in peace, dear Roscoe; you will forever be in our hearts.
