Roscoe C. Reece, 86, of Climax passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, in Greensboro, NC. He was born November 1, 1938, in Avery County to Norman Hadley Reece and Vertie Mae Presnell Reece.
RC will be remembered as a loving, caring, and spiritual family man. He was Vice-President of Davie Grading, Inc; working in construction his entire career, he was proud to be a second-generation road construction worker. RC was a faithful member of Living Waters Baptist Church, having the honor of serving as Deacon. He loved to engage the community by asking others, “Where do you go to church?” RC was most happy when spending time with his family at gatherings, eating oysters, or on the water – fishing or boating. His memory will live on through those who love and miss him.
RC is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Reece of the home; sons, Roscoe Alan Reece (Barbara)of Pleasant Garden, Stephen Reece of Randleman; daughter, Cathy Westmoreland (Danny) of Climax; grandchildren, Tyler Reece (Joy), Phillip Westmoreland, Whitney Harris (Dustin), Rachel Capen (David), Heather Martinez (Yonisio); great-grandchildren, Yonisio Martinez, Jr., Yovanni Roscoe, Kinsley Harris, Rilyn Harris; sister, Helen Walters (Darrell); and several nieces and nephews. RC is preceded in death by his son, Bruce Reece.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 12:45 - 1:45 PM at Living Waters Baptist Church, 5667 Old Randleman Road, Greensboro. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ben Taylor officiating. Interment will be held at Guilford Memorial Park.
