William Kay Kephart, Sr., of Franklinville passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Asheboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born June 5, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA to George Leslie Kephart and Mary Catherine Kephart.
Kay, Dad or Pop as the family called him, Bill to his friends and acquaintances, wanted this service to be about the Lord, whom he served, and not about him.
Bill is survived by his wife, Donna Kephart of the home; son, William Kephart, Jr.; daughters, Katherine Chambers (George), Diane Reid (Mark); grandchildren, Billy Kephart, III (Alexis, fiancé), Mark Kephart (Shelby), Steven Chambers (Ashley), Tim Kephart, Nathan Kephart, Katie Reid, Amy Reid, George Chambers; great-grandchildren, Thomas Kephart, Molly Kephart, Joshua Chambers, Jeremy Chambers, Atticus Kephart; brother, Roy Kephart (Donna). In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his daughter-in-love, Phyllis Kephart; brothers, George Kephart and Jim Kephart.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:50 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 6551 Weant Rd, Archdale, NC 27263. Funeral services will start at 1:00 PM with Pastor Richard Callahan officiating. Interment will begin at 3:00 PM at Alamance Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Bill's memory be made to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Missions Fund, 6551 Weant Rd. Archdale, NC 27263.
