Rose Bracker, age 92, passed away peacefully in Layton, Utah. Born on August 17, 1932, in Racine, Wisconsin, Rose lived a life defined by unwavering faith, devotion to family, and selfless service to others. A graduate of St. Catherine's High School in Racine, Rose pursued her calling as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Her compassionate nature made her a trusted caregiver and a comforting presence to those in need. On January 9, 1971, Rose married the love of her life, Gene Bracker, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, love, and family. They were blessed with two sons, Gregory and Timothy, who were the light of Rose's life. Rose's Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was deeply involved with the Racine Dominican Sisters and exemplified a true servant's heart. Whether it was through her work, her church, or her daily interactions, Rose's kindness and generosity touched countless lives. Her hobbies reflected her priorities-she cherished time spent with her family and her faith community. She will be dearly missed by her children, Gregory (Janet Stout) Bracker and Timothy (Donna) Bracker; her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin and Johnathan; her beloved sisters, Susan Griffin and Mary Balabuch; and her close friends, Deb Lein, Gloria Lemke, and Darlene Dalapa. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Rose was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Gene Bracker; her siblings, Adeline Sackman, Joseph Barranco, Samuel Barranco, Angelo Barranco, and Frank Barranco; and her parents, Dominic and Mary Barranco. While her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, the legacy of love and faith she leaves behind is an enduring testament to her beautiful spirit. A visitation for Rose will be held at St. William Catholic Church, located at 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. The visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and will continue until the start of services at 12:00 p.m. Rose will be laid to rest beside her beloved Gene in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rose's memory to the Racine Dominican Sisters, an organization close to her heart or a charity of your choosing. Rose's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
