Richard "Dick" Bracker

FITCHBURG - Richard "Dick" Bracker, known to his family as "Brud," age 91, died on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 13, 1932, in West De Pere, Wis., to Theodore and Ellen (Van Donsel) Bracker, the second of two children.
Dick was a 1950 graduate of Nicolet High School (now West De Pere High School). He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. Dick graduated in 1959 from St. Norbert College in West De Pere, with a B.S. in Business Administration. He was employed at Brebner Machinery, now Fabick CAT, in 1959 until his retirement in 1997.
Dick married Mary Ann Fisher, the girl next door, on June 27, 1959, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in West De Pere. He was a charter member of Green Bay Curling Club, scoring an eight-ender with his team. He was also a member of VFW, Post No. 2113, De Pere. Dick was a longtime EAA member and built his own ultralight airplane from scratch.
Dick is survived by his four daughters, Linda Utrie of De Pere, Karen (Kerry) Bracker Rathburn of Ashwaubenon, Jill (Rick) Barlament of Ashwaubenon and Pamela Bracker of Madison; grandchildren, Briana (Guy) Mayer, Dominick (Kayla) Utrie, Alexis (Mike) McKillip, Brock (Jessi) Johnson, Drew and Ian Rathburn, Matthew (Melissa) Barlament, Wesley Barlament and Samantha (Fred) Halbach; great -grandchildren, Taylor Barlament and Parker Utrie; his wife's siblings, Betty Janssen, Donna Cota, Ralph (JoAnn) Fisher, Judi Thorpe, Stanley (Donna) Fisher and Thomas (Sue) Fisher; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Fisher and Judy Fisher; dear friend, Patricia Leonard; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann; parents; sister, Eunice Englebert; parents-in-law, Harry and Emily (Cihlar) Fisher; and brothers-in-law, Edward, Norbert, Robert and Harry Fisher, Jr. and Milton Englebert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at NATIVITY OF OUR LORD PARISH, 2270 S. Oneida St., Green Bay, at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023. A visitation will be held at church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A private burial will take place at Fort Howard Memorial Park.
