Rose Marie Carr, 90, passed away at her home in Shelby Township on October 21, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Robert and Frances Krause. Rose was married for 53 wonderful years to her beloved husband, Jim Carr, who she now joins in eternal rest.
Rose was a lifelong Roman Catholic and an original parishioner of St. Edmund Parish in Warren. After moving to Shelby Township, she became a proud member of St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish. Rose and Jim were active in both parishes, making many lasting friendships through their faith and fellowship.
Family meant everything to Rose. She was the loving mother of Michael (Andrea), Patrick (Cheryl), Gary (Cynthia), and Julie (Matthew) McClellan. She adored her grandchildren-Brian (Kaylee), Christopher (Danielle), Sean (Emily), Megan, Michelle (Jordan), Dugan, Caroline (Chad), Rachel, Lauren, Delaney, and Sarah-and was overjoyed to be a great-grandmother to Henry, Riley, Sam, Quinn, and Blaire. Rose was also the dear sister of her late brothers, Tom, Bill, John, and Jim Krause.
Even as she grew older, Rose never lost her spark. She loved to stay busy and was always ready for the next outing or adventure. Family traditions meant so much to her-the annual Christmas tree trimming party, summer trips to Alpena, weekend shopping adventures in Chicago with her daughter and daughters-in-law, and trips to Orlando and Disney World with her grandkids. She also loved visiting big cities, attending live theater, playing pinochle and euchre, and reading. She had a deep fondness for the dear friends who helped her attend Saturday Mass and who shared dinner with her afterward-a cherished tradition that brought her great joy.
Rose's love, laughter, and faith touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and joy that will be remembered always.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Wasik Funeral Home 49150 Schoenherr Road (N. of 22 Mile) from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral Monday, October 27, 2025 instate 9:30 a.m. at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church 48115 Schoenherr Road, Shelby Township, until time of Mass 10:00 a.m.
Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
