Rochester/Gates: Rose passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 100 years and 7 months.

Rose lived a long and meaningful life, reaching the remarkable milestone of a century. She is survived by her three loving sons, John (Roseann), Jerry (Elaine Richardson)Michael (Debra Ward); 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent, her beloved grandson David DiPaola, daughter-in-law Andrea DiPaola, her in-laws John and Serafina DiPaola, her parents, Michael and Louisa Spagnolo.

In addition to her family tree, Rose was a Godmother to 7 new family members over her adult life. Giving further evidence of her commitment and devotion to our lord Jesus Christ.

Rose will be remembered with love by her family and all her knew her. Beyond being a devoted wife and mother, her outstanding concern and commitment toward human dignity was always a priority. " No harm nor shame should be brought onto others " she often said- a guiding belief she lived by and passed on to her family.

A special thank you goes to a devoted granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Samantha and Joseph Duffy, who were not only present for Rose's final moments, but who stood by her faithfully throughout the years. They brought their beloved Grandma Rosie much joy, laughter, and love, remaining relentlessly at her bedside until just before Rose began her next journey.

Rose's life was defined by compassion, humor, service, and love. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

Sadly I have no pictures to share at the moment. They are all packed away since our move to Austin Texas. I do however have many, many memories of Rosie. Rosie was one of my mom's (Cathy Wacenske) closest friends. Every Wednesday my mother visited with Rosie at Rosie's house in Rochester. Rosie always had the table covered with delicious food/treats. Every Wednesday I would do my best to fake an illness knowing that if I succeeded I would be able to skip school and I would have to go to Rosie's house with my mom. Once there I could miraculously recoup and then be able to partake in all those goodies! I remember how talented she was when she would play her part as the devil in the church plays. She was so good at her part adding unscripted pieces of her funny Rosie personality! And Rosie always looks so pretty doing her part in a flattering red dress. I also remember her laying in the sun in her backyard when we would go over to her house. And she had a plum tree in her backyard which yielded some delicious plums. Such a sweet lady. I'm sure she will be missed dearly and deeply. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Jerry, John and Michael.
