Rose Marie Eddie, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025 surrounded by love.
Rose spent the last four years residing in Central Florida, though she considered Elyria, Ohio her lifelong home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Eddie; her children Dale Eddie, Darla Jimenez, and Bruce Eddie; her sisters Ruth Podlinski, Ruby Davis and 6 other siblings; and her granddaughter Jessica Eddie.
She is survived by her son David Eddie; her grandchildren Heather Koziatek, Crystal Maharidge, Bryan Jimenez, Starlet Haun, Rachel Eddie, Justin Eddie, David Eddie, and Raquel Griffiths; as well as extended family and many dear friends who loved her deeply.
Rose was known for her warm smile, her sunny spirit, and the joy she brought to every room she entered. She lived her life with positivity, compassion, and a generous heart. For 19 years, she worked as a nurse’s aide, caring for others with patience and kindness, after spending many years as a devoted homemaker.
She loved gardening, cooking, playing bingo, bowling, listening to country music, visiting the casino, and, most of all, spending time with her friends and family. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence was a source of comfort and light to everyone around her.
A graveside service will be held on December 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Rest Haven Cemetery, 3700 Center Rd., Avon, Ohio 44011. A Celebration of Life luncheon will follow at Tom’s Country Place in the Oak Room 3442 Stoney Ridge Rd Avon, Ohio 44011 from 1:30 - 4:30 pm, where family and friends will come together to share memories and celebrate Rose’s beautiful life.
