Rose Glover Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by James M. Campbell Funeral Home, Inc. - Philadelphia on May 7, 2024.
Rose M. Glover, born on April 13, 1924, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on May 5, 2024, at Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was 100 years old.
Rose's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, compassion, and joy. Her family held a special place in her heart, especially her grandchildren, whom she cherished deeply. Rose found immense happiness in baking delicious cookies, cakes and pies for her loved ones to savor, particularly during the holiday seasons. In her earlier years, she found solace and tranquility in strolling along the sandy shores of the beach.
Rose is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband William D. Glover, her parents Sigmund and Rose Lampe, her brother Sigmund Lampe, Jr., and her sister Edna Baglivo. She is survived by her loving family: William D. Glover, Jr. (Marsha Nedelman), Steven Glover (Diane Long), Eileen Sweeney (Michael), Carol Glover (Thomas Zimmerman), 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families.
Services to honor Rose's memory will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, starting with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Saint Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, Pa 19116, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:45 AM. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
Residing in Southampton Estates, formerly of Philadelphia, Rose recently marked her 100th birthday surrounded by her loving family. Her milestone achievement was recognized with Citations from The House of Representatives of Pennsylvania and The Senate of Pennsylvania, commemorating her century of life well-lived.
Rose's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff at Southampton Estates. The care and support provided by each member of the team were beyond measure. They showed exceptional kindness and dedication and became a second family to Rose and her loved ones, providing not just care but also love and compassion.
Rose M. Glover's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
