Rose Mary Kloth, 87, of the town of Browning, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family, under the care of Hope Hospice.
Funeral services for Rose will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Russow officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery II. Visitation will take place at Zion Lutheran Church on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Rose was born on August 22, 1937 to Edward and Ann (Poehnelt) Tom in the town of Goodrich. She married Alvin Kloth, who she loved dearly, on March 2, 1957 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville. She farmed alongside her husband from 1957 until they sold the farm in 2000. She loved tending to the cows and keeping them happy. Rose was proud of the family farm she and Alvin built.
In her spare time, Rose enjoyed shooting pool, playing cards, reading, and baking. There was never a shortage of homemade goodies to enjoy. She loved to collect pretty things and had a vast collection. Rose loved being a grandma and she fondly told stories often of Ember and Enita living with them during their younger years. Her favorite time of year was Christmas because of the beauty the season represents. In her retirement she and Alvin enjoyed visits to the casino, auctions, and day trips to visit family.
Rose is survived by her husband, Alvin; children, James Kloth and Michael (Linda) Kloth, both of Medford; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, with one on the way, and 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Charles (Sandy) Tom of Medford, Carolyn Nelson of Hales Corner, Herbert (Linda) Tom of Oklahoma, and Phil (Sue) Tom of Westboro. Rose is further survived by her son-in-law, Allen McNamar; sister-in-law, Rose Tom, and many other family and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; children, Richard Kloth and Ann McNamar; siblings, George Tom, Bernice (Clyde) Cypher, and Clarence Tom; daughter-in-law, Janine Kloth.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hope Hospice for their compassionate care.
Memorials will be designated at a later date.
